"We chose Shan-Gri-La Contractors because of their reputation and quality of work.  My wife and I reviewed their website and saw all of the work that they had done previously and were blown away by how they could transform a plain back yard into a stunning, well thought out area for dining & entertaining.  

 Chip (owner) arrived neatly dressed and on time, ready to do business.  I mention that because right away you feel comfortable with him and know that he is there to make sure your experience with SGL Contractors is enjoyable one.  He started out wanting to know our overall vision of the backyard so that he could layout & design a plan that could accommodate any future projects and not add cost later.   

 After understanding the entire project, Chip provided value input and asked great questions that we would have never thought about until the project was done.  He devised a great plan and turned the estimate and schematic around in a timely manner.  He was able to understand exactly the style, shape and color schemes that we wanted and was able show that in his schematic.  Chip is open and receptive to changes but also did not let us make a costly mistake if he saw something he thought was a wrong move. We appreciated his open and honest dialogue.

 After we signed off on the plans, the crew started on the date as planned and showed up on time.  His manager and crew were very neat and organized and worked hard all day long.  They took pride in their work and stayed on schedule the whole time.  They took time to make sure the yard was cleaned up and organized before they left for the day.   

 When the project was done, my family and I couldn't believe how they turned the idea on paper into a reality.  The finished work was better than we could imagine and are looking forward to using our new outdoor kitchen and fireplace very soon.  Not to mention the increased value that a project such as this adds to our home."
